Small Town Saturday Morning

It’s been (more than) a few years but when I was growing up on the farm, it was a special occasion when we would go to town, meet up with my Grandmother and have a chance to stop in at the “5 & Dime” to see all their neat stuff. People from all the surrounding counties would find their way there! Heavens,
people were known to drive 20…sometimes 30 miles!

Today I am simply amazed and feel truly blessed to be doing business with people from all around the world. This attached list is a summary of the 30 Countries represented by shoppers to Big Creek Mercantile over just the past year.
As my store grows and business expands, I pray that I will always keep that feeling of
“Small Town Saturday Morning”… discovery of that special item that my customers are searching for, and find…at Big Creek Mercantile.

My Personal Bat Cave

Celebrating the addition of Ben Affleck to the cast of This Old House,
I have added this commemorative (and functional) abode…

Granite Finish and a Piano Hinge installed in the backrest so it can fold down flat for transport or storage, it was obvious what I should call this Doggie Adirondack Bed.

My Family; My Workshop; and Dogs… pretty much sums it up for me. I have built and shipped a variety of things all over the globe, but when one of my Customers sends me a photo and says “Thanks”…
You’re Welcome! Means a lot to this old Carpenter.

With a chill in the Workshop this morning, I decided to push the re-set button. My knee joints never lie.

My Uncle Merlyn seems to have found my kind of furniture store.
