Front Porch Music

Home Grown MusicLet’s make musical instruments from everyday things we have around the house and teach our kids not only how to build them…but how to play them!

Whether I use an old wash tub for an upright bass (the small one is a 5 gallon milk pail upright bass that I built for my 4 year old Grandson) , an old Hershey’s Chocolate Tin as the basic component for a banjo, or add a license plate (for rattle) to a foot stompin’ drum made from an old cedar fence. Just for fun, you’ll notice that Ive also added an RCA plug and volume knob to a couple of these…just to have an amped up band!

What can I build for you?
